The number-one rule of packing fragiles: empty space is your enemy. Here's the system our crews use to make sure your favourite pieces arrive intact.

Plates and bowls

Stand them on edge, not flat. Wrap each individually and fill the box with paper so nothing shifts.

Glasses and stemware

Use a divided box (we sell or hire them). Wrap stems separately from bowls.

Mirrors and framed art

Tape an X across the glass to contain shards if it cracks. Wrap in bubble, then sandwich between cardboard.

Televisions

Original box if you have it. If not, blanket-wrap and transport upright — never flat.

Lamps and lightshades

Remove bulbs and shades. Wrap shades separately and don't stack anything on top.
