Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of our website and removal services.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Holdem Removals LTD ("we", "us", "our") for the use of our website at holdemremovals.online and the removal, packing, storage and related services we provide. By using our website or booking a service you accept these Terms.

1. About us

2. Quotes and bookings

  • Quotes generated by our website (instant quote, fixed quote, video survey quote) are estimates based on the information you provide. The final price may be adjusted if the actual job differs materially from the information supplied.
  • A booking is confirmed only once we have accepted it in writing (email or in-app confirmation).
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering or requesting a quote.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or are used unlawfully.

4. Cancellations and changes

  • You may cancel a booking up to 7 days before the scheduled date for a full refund of any deposit.
  • Cancellations within 7 days may forfeit some or all of the deposit, depending on rescheduling capacity.
  • If we have to cancel due to events beyond our reasonable control (extreme weather, vehicle breakdown, illness etc.), we will refund any deposit in full or reschedule at no extra cost.
  • Changes to inventory, dates or addresses may affect the price; we will inform you in advance.

5. Payment

  • A deposit may be required to confirm a booking.
  • The balance is due on the day of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • All prices include VAT at the prevailing UK rate.
  • Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate.

6. Our service obligations

  • We will carry out your removal with reasonable care and skill.
  • We are fully insured for goods in transit and public liability — details available on request.
  • We will use our best efforts to arrive within the agreed time window.

7. Your obligations

  • Provide accurate inventory and access information (parking restrictions, stairs, lift sizes).
  • Disclose any item of unusually high value (over £500) so it can be specifically insured.
  • Ensure premises are accessible and safe for our team to work.
  • Not ask us to transport prohibited items (see clause 8).

8. Items we will not move

For safety and legal reasons we cannot transport:

  • Cash, jewellery, deeds, securities, stamps or coins of unusual value
  • Hazardous, flammable or explosive materials (gas bottles, paints, fireworks)
  • Live plants and live animals (subject to written agreement)
  • Frozen or perishable food
  • Illegal goods or controlled substances

9. Liability

  • Our liability for loss or damage to goods is governed by our insurance policy, a copy of which is available on request.
  • Claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery and supported by photographic evidence where possible.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Use of our website

  • You may not use the website for any unlawful purpose or to upload malicious content.
  • You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
  • All website content (text, images, code) is owned by Holdem Removals LTD and protected by copyright.

11. Marketing communications

If you opt in, we may send you marketing emails, SMS or WhatsApp messages about offers and updates. You can opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any message, replying STOP to a WhatsApp or SMS message, or emailing us.

12. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the website or our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
